*Program Title: Family Night
*Description: For two of my family nights, I choose to work with the Texana Living History group. They portray historic characters and make them come to life. In past years, I've had one or two characters. Attendance is usually good, and I market the program to the schools in addition to my usual marketing methods. You can see a full list of character on the web site: http://www.texanalivinghistory.org.
*Specifics: (Hours of the course, best day of the week, etc...) You can ask for just about any time of day and any day of the week.
*Notes: The cost is about $150 per historic character for a one hour performance. If you book more than one, you can get a discount. This group is a nonprofit group.
*Experience with Program: My program in March 2007 at the Hurst Public Library was the historic character Jim Bowie portrayed by Jack Edmondson. Forty-five people attended the program. I scheduled it to match some of the grade levels studying the Alamo. Mr. Edmondson came prepared and had done extensive research. He did an excellent job of holding the audience's attention, and he answered questions about Jim Bowie after his performance.
